2026 Player Program Book

Located 10 miles south of Hartford, Conn., TPC River Highlands has been the long-time host of the PGA TOUR’s Travelers Championship, previously known as the Buick Championship, Canon Greater Hartford Open and Insurance City Open.

A well-balanced mix of long and short holes, Bobby Weed and Pete Dye’s layout adeptly combines contemporary strategy with throw-back aesthetics. 2008 Travelers Championship winner, Stewart Cink, notes that TPC River Highlands has, “four of the most exciting finishing holes in a group anywhere in the world.”

CEMA strives to bring some of the best playing experiences to our golfers. We return to TPC River Highlands since we were last there in 2021, and here's where we've been since 2018:

2018  Lake of Isles
2019  Hartford Golf Club
2020  Great River Golf Club
2021  TPC River Highlands
2022  Fox Hopyard
2023  Yale Golf Club
2024  Lake of Isles
2025  Waterbury Country Club

Spread across 148 acres, stately corridors of maple, oak, sycamore and eastern white pine trees frame gently rolling fairways. The golf course includes bentgrass from tee to green and bluegrass-fescue rough. This beautiful contrast, paired with a plethora of half-par holes, makes for a great challenge.

In 2018, the Travelers Championship earned the “Players Choice Award” for the second consecutive year, voted on by PGA TOUR players for the quality of the course, tournament services, hospitality and attendance.

With the Travelers Championship just 10 days after the CEMA Outing, the course will be in pristine condition appropriate for PGA tournament play.

Multiple ponds and strategically placed bunkers add to the layout’s sandy, well-drained aesthetic. TPC River Highlands is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, which supports ecologically-sound land management and wildlife habitats.
